Abstract

Field experiments were conducted for two years to evaluate the production potential of some maize based cropping systems under rainfed conditions. Rotations that involved leguminous crop as cereal-oilseed or cereal-fallow crop rotations both in respect of net income as well as total grain production. Maize+arhar-wheat gave maximum net revenue per year whereas keeping the land fallow during rabi season {maize-fallow} proved to be most inferior enterprise in respect of net revenue per year.
