Abstract

Three neem extracts (Neem seed kemal extract, Neem Oil, Neem cake extract), leaf extracts of Prosophis (Prosophis juliflora), Ipomea (Ipomea cornea) and fungicides Mancozeb and Carbendazim were effective against Erysiphe polygoni. DC, the pathogen causing powdery mildew of blackgram. Among the plant e,xtracts tested neem seed kemel extract (5 per cent) was found to be superior in containing the powdery mildew disease and increasing the grain yield of blackgram under pot culture experiment.
