Four lines of chickpea including two lines (GNG 422, K 1032) with white and two lines (C235, Avrodhi) with pink flowers were planted for crossing in chickpea. Pink flower colour is dominant over white flower colour. Lines with white flowers were used as female and with pink flowers as male parents. In the F1 generation plants were assured for their flower colour. The success rate of F1 plants with pink flowers ranged from 4.66% to 10.00% and from 13.00% to 19.00% with an average of 7.08% and 15.66% in I and II method respectively. The cross GNG 422 x C 235 resulted highest success rate (19.00%) followed by GNG 422 x Avrodhi (16.66%) K1032 x C235 (14.00%) and K 1032 x Avrodhi (13.00%) cross in method II.
