An investigation was conducted to find out the suitable period for carrying out air layering operations in different cultivars of litchi. From 5th August to. 16th September was found to be the best perioo for achieving the healthy and vigorous rooted layers in Dehradun, Ca1cuttia and Seedless Late cultivars in litchi.
