A field experiment was conducted with maize Co 1 in a copper deficient soil with recommended dose of poultry manure (6.25 t ha−1) and FYM (12.5 t ha−1) alongwith application of copper both to soil (0, 6.25, 12.5, 25 and 50 kg ha−1 as CuSO4) and foliar spray (0.1 and 0.2% foliar spray on 30th, 40th and 50th days after sowing). The study revealed that application of manures increased the uptake of Cu, Mn and Zn by grain and straw whereas copper application was found to have antagonistic effect on Zn, synergistic and antagonistic effect on Mn and non-significant effect on iron.
