Abstract

The investigation was carried out to study the effect of three levels of pnmlng (25 cm, 45 cm and 75 cm) and two timings (April and June) on nature of flower type fruit set and fruit retention in 18 year old acid lime trees. The severity and time of prunning signiflcantly influenced on production of number of flowers per shoot, hermaphrodite flowers, fruit set and fruit retention. The trees pruned by medium pnmlng (45 cm) in April produced significantly highest number of flowers per shoot with more percentage of hermaphrodite flowers, fruit set and fruit retention as compare to unpruned and light pruned trees of acid lime.
