Abstract

An experiment was conducted during rabi seasons of 1996–97 and 1997–98 to study the effect of irrigation levels and row spacing on growth and yield of three newly evolved fieldpea genotypes. Application of irrigation significantly improved plant growth and yield. Plants spaced 20 cm x 10 cm had significantly higher plant height, seed and straw yield than 30 cm x 10 cm. Seed and straw yield were significantly higher in genotype HFP-8712 than genotypes HFP-8909 and HFP-4.
