Abstract

Seed and soil inoculation studies performed with Rhizobium with reduced levels of nitrogenous fertilizers revealed that number of nodules per plant was maximum (29.87) in LAR-105 alone followed by 26.97 in LAR-105 + 50% recommended dose of nitrogen (RDN). The dry weight per plant was maximum in seed inoculation with CC-1 + 50% (9.33 g/plant) followed by 9.06, 8.88 in RGR-10 + 50% N and LAR-105 + 50% N respectively. The maximum yield (20.10 kg/ha) was recorded in 100% N which was at par with 18.67 kg/ha yield in CC-1 + 50% N. The nodulation characters were found to be superior in Rhizobium treatments as compared to combination treatments.
