Evaluation of first line demonstration trials in Rajgarh district of Madhya Pradesh
Abstract
This research study was conducted in adopted villages of K.V.K. Rajgarh in rabi seasons of 1996–97, 1997–98, and 1998–99 to evaluate to extension gap, technology gap, technology index and economic viability and profitability of first line demonstrations. It was observed thai a wide gap existed in demonstration and local check yields of gram crop. The extension gap for the year 1996–97 and 1997–98 were more than the technology gaps which shows poor adoption of technology. Lower value of extension gap in the year 1998–99, indicates that first line demon stration is an effective tool to motivate the farmers towards adoption of an innovation.
