Abstract

Mussorie rock phosphate was activated by incubation with different organic amendments like cowdung, urine, FYM and P solubilizing bacterium (Bacillus megatherium var..Phosphaticum). P release pattern in MRP with different organic amendments was studied periodically at 10 days interval for 90 days. Results showed that combination of MRP + cowdung + urine was found superior in releasing P than the other combinations. The next best was found to be MRP + cowdung + Urine + B. megatherium.
