Abstract

Results of field experiment conducted duririg kharif 1997 to study the effect of application of zinc as zinc oxide and sulphur as gypsum on soybean (PKV-1) showed that the application of zinc and sulphur with increasing levels, significantly increased the protein and oil content of soybean grain over control. Highest protein (37.25%) and oil (20.42%) content was observed due to application of 3 kg Zn ha−1, while 40 kg S ha−1 gave the highest protein (37.25%) and oil (21.29%) content of soybean grain.
