Abstract

Association of different characters with seed yield, protein yield and oil content was studied with ten different genotypes of sesamum. Irrespective of genotypes the different growth and yield parameters were correlated. The sttudies indicated positive correlation of seed oil and protein content with seed yield, morphological and growth parameters. Considering these correlations as well as correlations of these characters with remaining others, the characters for which selection is to be exercised for achieving improvement in higher seed yield, protein content and oil content are listed for different groups.
