Abstract

The field experiments for two successive years were conducted during kharif 1996–97 and 1997–98. The maximum dry berries yield was obtained with Arka sanjeevini, however the solasodine content and yield were more in Arka Mahima. The fertilizer application @ 90.60:60: kg N, P2O5 and K2O per hectate recorded highest dry berries yield and solasodine content and yield. The plant spacing did not influence the dry berries and solasodine yield.
