Abstract

Forty genotypes of chickpea were evaluated in a randomized experiment for 18 quantitative traits. Data subjected to Mahalanobis D2 analysis, resulted in the formation of 12 diverse clusters. Genotypes from U.P. distributed in most of the clusters showed greater diversity among them. Maximum intra-cluster distance was recorded for cluster IV, while highest inter-cluster distance was observed between cluster VIII and XII.
