Abstract

The length of vine (106.85 cm), number of branches (6.15) and number of leaves (74.50) was found to be maximum at the harvest of crop in treatment T4 (125% of recommended dose, out of which 50% through liquid fertilizer and 50% through FYM) and treatment T3 (125% recommended dose of liquid fertilizer through drop irrigation) over control. The treatment To (100% recommended dose, 50% through liquid fertilizer and 50% through FYM) recorded maximum fruits (6.8/vine), fruit length (18.10 cm), diameter of fruit (13.30 cm), weight of fruit (305 g) and statistically superior yield (264.04 q/ha) over control (187.60 q/ha). The per cent increase in yield due to drip irrigation over surface method of irrigation ranged from 5.54 to 40.74%. Application of 100% of recommended dose (150:50:50 NPK kg/ha), out of which 50% through liquid fertilizer and 50% through FYM showed it's superiority over whole fertilizer dose applied through liquid fertilizer.
