Abstract

An experiment was conducted during rabi season 1997–98 to evaluate net-radiation using-multi band remote sensing and ground base meteorological data. The net radiation (Rn) were measured with net radiometer 1 meter above wheat crop. The values of net radiation ranged from 458 to 691 w/m2 during all the growth stages. The net radiation was also computed using remote sensing and meteorological data. A regression equation was developed between actually measured (Rn) and remotely sensed (Rn) net radiation values, which is expressed as:

This equation can be used to estimate net radiation using remote sensing and meteorological data into actual values.
