Behaviour of Platygaster oryzae at variable levels of Orseolia oryzae incidence in rice germ plasm was studied during kharif 1998 at Raipur. At least 5.5 per cent host incidence was necessary to start parasitic acitivity and is inherently capable of regulating the population of its host. Data on this rice gene pool with respect to various graded level of gall midge incidence statistically showed + vely shewed distribution (r1 = 0.06282) while flatness of mode turn out to be leptokurtic (r2 = 1.1159). These statistical value indicates the presence of highly susceptible gall midge genes in this germ plasm.
