Integrated nutrient supply system for zinc and sulphur in lowland rice

A field experiment was conducted in the zinc and sulphur deficient soil to study the effect of green manure (GM) and inorganic Zn and S fertilizer combinations on yield of a short duration rice variety (ADT 36). Application of NPK (100:50:50 N:P₂O₅:K₂O kg ha⁻¹), Zn as ZnSO₄ (5 kg Zn ha⁻¹) and S as gypsum (50 kg S ha⁻¹) coupled with green manure (Sesbania aculeataat 10 t ha⁻¹) resulted in significantly higher grain yield (5627 kg ha⁻¹).
