A field experiment was carried out during rabi season of 1999–2000 on clay soil to study the impact of stubble management practices on yield and yield attributes of transplanted rice. Application of FYM @ 5 t ha−1 + recommended dose of nitrogen along with stubble incorporation recorded higher number of productive trillers hill−1, number of panicles, panicle length, number of total grains panicle−1, number of filled grains panicle−1, harvest index, grain and straw yields. However, minimum yield attributes and yield of transplanted rice were noted under application of recommended dose of nitrogen alone.
