Abstract

An experiment was conducted during 1993–94 and 1994–95 to evaluate the economic feasibility and nutrient harvest of diHerent locally available organic sources of nutrient in rice-lentil cropping sequence. Maximum return and B:C ratio was obtained in rice-lentil sequence due to incorporation of 120 kg Nlha to rice through combination of moongbean green manuring after one picking and prilled urea in 50:50 ratio. Application of full recommended dose of N to rice through combination of carpet waste and prilled urea in equal proportion removed maximum quantity of N, P and K in rice-lentil sequence.
