Abstract

A field experiment was conducted during kharif season 2000, to assess the yield performance and nutrient uptake pattern of sorghum. Trial was laid out in split plot with 5 genotypes (CSV-15, CSH-14, CSH-16, SPV-1388, SPH-1148) along with four fertility levels (00:00, 40:20, 80:40 and 120:60) kg N:P2O5/ha in three replications. Results indicated that there were no marked differences in the grain yields of hybrids (CSH-14, CSH-16, SPH-1148) when tried with 120:60 and 80:40 kg N and P2O5/ha fertility levels. There was linear increase in the uptake of NPK as the fertility increased.
