Abstract

Field trials were conducted for two consecutive cropping seasons of 1997–98 and 1998–99 on an acidic, red sandy loam soil (Alfisol) to find out the optimum dose of N and K to Burley tobacco cultivar Banket-A1. The results revealed that 125 kg N and 50 kg K2O/ha with 50 kg P2O5/ha was optimum and balanced fertilizer dose for higher yields and better quality Burley tobacco (cultivar Banket-All production.
