Abstract

Among five different fertilizers viz., Urea, Ammonium Sulphate. Di-Ammonium Phosphate, Murate of Potash and Zinc Sulphate tested for their toxic effect on the growth dnd spore germination of Trichoderma harzianum Rifai, urea was least toxic whereas, zinc sulphate proved highly toxic. Spore germination of T. harzianumwas also stimulated and maximum (127%) was recorded in case of urea at higher concentration (2000 μg/ml). No spore germination was observed with zinc sulphate from 1000 μg/ml concentration onwards.
