In the field trial, conducted during 1997–98 and 1998–99 the effect of sprays of certain insecticides viz., Bacillus thuringiensis var. kurstaki (500 9 a.i./ha), Neem Seed Kernel Extract (NSKE) 5%, flufenoxuron (80 g a.i./ha), cypermethrin (60 9 a.i./ha), Nurelle D-505 (chiorpyrifos + cypermethrin) 70 9 a.i./ha and their combinations on the parasitization of diamondback moth, Plutella xylostella L. due to larval, ApenteJes plutellae Kurdj. and a pupal parasitoid, Oomyzus sokolowskii Kurdj. infesting cauliflower was studied. The results indicated that per cent parasitization in different treatments due to both parasitoids after each spraying ranged from 2.00 to 29.56 per cent and did not show significant differences.
