Abstract

A field experiment was carried out on sandy loam soil. Seed soaking with 0.25% zinc sulphate solution gave significantly higher yield/ha. A significantly higher grain weight plant−1, zinc content (ppm) and protein content (%) in grain were recorded in seed soaking with 0.5% zinc sulphate solution than control and seed soaking with 0.25 or 1% zinc sulphate solution during both the years.
