The highest avoidable yield loss to the tune of 37.38 per cent was recorded in untreated control plot. The treatment consisting two applications of monocrotophos 0.04 per cent at 75 and 90 days after sowing was found the most economical as it gave the highest cost benefit ratio (1:7.25).
