Abstract

Average adult mortality of R. dominica was 90–100 per cent after one day exposure at 78 per cent and above concentration of CO2, At 60 per cent concentration of CO2 the mortality was 30, 90 and 100 per cent after 1, 3 and 15 days of exposure, whereas at 70 per cent the mortality was 90, 100 and 100 per cent after 1, 3 and above days exposure periods, respectively. In untreated check mortality varied from 0–6 per cent after one month exposure under natural condition. The grain damage caused by R. dominica varied from.02 to 4.5 per cent in all the treatments excluding control where grain incidence was 2 to 18.5 per cent.
