Abstract

In a field experiment onion crop was treated with GA3 and NAA each with three different doses (200, 300 and 400 ppm of NAA and 20, 40 and 60 ppm of GA3) and each does was applied through three different methods (soaking of seeds for 8 hours, seedling root dipping for 18 hours and foliar spray). All the treated plants produced higher bulb diameter than control (no PGR) treatment whereas bulb length did not differ total yield and marketable bulb yield (each bulb weighing > 20 gram) of bulbs were positively influenced by the application of GA3 specially in root dipping treatments.
