Leadership roles in village development - A case study in Nagaland

Research conducted in two villages of Nagaland namely Tenyiphe-1 and Ngwalwa showed minimum gap between the expectations from non-leaders to do the roles by their leaders and actual role performances of the leaders in raising of funds. The average gap of 23 per cent was found between role performances and role expectations in case of positive leadership roles. The maximum gap of (−26) per cent was found in “securing advantages of Governmental help for self development or works only with profit motives” while considering negative roles of the leadership. The average gap found related to negative role performances and peoples expectations from their leaders was about (−9) per cent.
