The effect of integrated nutrient management on yield and soil properties was studied in a rice-linseed sequence during 1997–98. All the nitrogen management treatments were superior to control on yield. Top dressing of urea with basal organic sources of nitrogen resulted the similar yield with basal application of urea and organic sources. There was no significant residual effect of different treatments on linseed. All the integrated treatments were superior in soil organic carbon and available soil nitrogen. The Chromoleanatreated plots resulted in higher organic carbon content than Ipomoea treated plots.
