Abstract

An experiment was carried out to standardize the time of softwood grafting in mango cultivars viz., Khader, Mallika and Baneshan. Among the different time of grafting tried, September grafting showed early sprouting (24.50 days). Significantly maximum percentage of sprouting (82.50) and graft take (54.56%) was observed in I fortnight of September grafting. December grafting exhibited poorest with respect to sprouting and survival of grafts. Among the three cultivars, cv. Mallika showed the highest percentage of sprouting (68.90%) and graft take (40.52%), the lowest was observed with cv. Baneshan.
