Abstract

Field trials on the management of the tea mosquito bug, Helopeltis antonii S. on cashew revealed that application of methyl parathion @ 1.5ml/l at flush stage followed by carbaryl 2g/l at flowering stage and monoaotophos 1.5ml/l at pea nut stage suppressed the pest damage and increased the yield with a substantial increase in the Benefit: Cost, (B: C) ratio @ 2.56. The botanicals viz., NSKE and Nimbecidine in the treatment schedule could not effectively manage the pest.
