Abstract

A field experiment in split plot design was laid out to identify the genotypes that yield better under restricted irrigation conditions. The experiment was conducted during rabi-2006-07 with three irrigation levels viz., I1 - no irrigation, I2 - one irrigation at CRI and I3 - two irrigations at CRI and late tillering in main plot and four varieties viz., V1-MP 3211, V2 - NI 5439, V3 - WH 147 and V4 - HW-2004 as sub plot treatment replicated three times. The results revealed that, two irrigations at CRI and late tillering stages gave significantly higher grain yield (35.45 q/ha). The wheat variety WH-147gave maximum grain yield (25.27qt/ha.) than other varieties.
