Abstract

A field experiment was conducted during kharif2001-02 for studying response of soybean to application of zinc (in an Inceptisol). The results revealed that the application of zinc @ 7.5 kg −1 through zinc sulphate recorded the highest grain yield (39.58 q ha−1) and on par with 5 and 10 kg −1 (39.55 q ha−1). The results also indicated that the application of zinc caused the uptake of NPK and micronutrient at harvest and zinc sulphate was superior to zinc oxide.
