Abstract

Hybridization was effected between 7 lines and 4 testers and the resultant 28 F1S (part of seed) selfed to obtain F2 seed during rabi 2000. The 28 F1S and F2S were evaluated along with their parents during kharif 2001. Critical evaluation based on per se, SCA effects and heterobeltiosis indicated the importance of the crosses NKD1110 X Gowri and NKD1110 X Madhavi for seed yield.
