Abstract

Castor (Ricinus communis) genotypes of nine improved varieties along with one check (Agia local) were subjected for screening for nutritive quality in the tropical humid soil of the Gangetic plain of West Bengal and both qualitative parameters and water status revealed that NBR-1 and Damalgiri Red were most nutritively superior varieties as compared to others and could be exploited for future commercial exploitation in Eastern India.
