The field experiments were carried out to study the effect of different growth regulators in paprika (Capsicum annuum var. longum) cv. KtPl-19 during two seasons in 2002–2003. The growth regulators treated consisted of Mepiquat chloride (50 and 100 ppm), 2, 4-D (5 and 10 ppm), NAA (25 and 50 ppm), GA3 (25 and 50 ppm) and Nitro benzene (0.1 and 0.2%). All the fruit characters invariably exhibited highly significant and positive correlation with fruit yield per plant in both the conditions except the days to first flowering which was negatively significant with yield. The number of seeds per fruit and seed weight per fruit also showed negative significant correlation with yield. However the number of primary branches was non significant with yield.
