Abstract

Nine bacterial isolates were obtained from leaf surface, fruit skin and blossom of mango and tested for their efficacy against Colletotrichum gloeosporioides causing mango anthracnose. The results revealed that an isolate of foliar Pseudomonas fluorescenscaused maximum inhibition of spore germination, germ tube elongation and mycelial growth of C. gloeosporioides. It also allowedminimum lesion diameter under detached leaf technique.
