True seeds (caryopses) of Cenchrus glaucus can be easily extracted using sulphuric acid (Purity 95%) for 16 minutes duration which recorded higher germination and vigour with minimum injury to seeds. Mechanical defluffing and sulphuric acid (Purity 95%) extraction for longer duration caused seed injury leading to low germination.
