Peziotrichum corticolum (Massee) Subramanian causes Black Banded Disease of Mango. The disease was reported from South India in 1901 and again in 1941 by Dr. C.V. Subramanian. The severity of black banded disease and damage produced has not been assessed so far. The present paper reports the resut of survey carried out in Kolhapur District, with respect to spread and severity of the black banded disease.
