Schefflera is an indoor foliage pot plant, it is an excellent house plant which will tolerate poor light and some cold, but when grown in good conditions, it soon becomes a most hand specimen plant. It does not flower nor produces roots under our conditions. Also it is difficult to root without using a rooting hormone, so this research was aimed to find out the optimum auxin (NAA) concentration on Schefflera arboricola rooting of leaf bud-cuttings. Six treatments (0, 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000 and 5000 ppm NAA) were used in a completely randomized design (CRD) with four replicates. All the used auxin concentrations improved rooting compare to the control treated cuttings, and in most cases, best rooting results were obtained with 2000 ppm NAA treated schefflera leaf-bud cutting.
