Adoption of recommended hybrid castor production technology by the castor growers

Abstract

The present investigation was conducted in Kheda district of Gujarat state because it has maximum area under hybrid castor cultivation than the other district. For this study, 10 villages were selected; out of it 120 farmers were selected by proportionate random sampling technique. And findings of this study reveals that three fourth (75.00 per cent) of the hybrid castor growers had medium to high level of adoption regarding recommended hybrid castor production technology. And cent percent of the hybrid castor growers followed recommended practices namely land preparation, interculturing, manual weeding and timely harvesting.
