A field experiment was conducted at dry land farm, to investigate the effect of integrated nitrogen management on ascorbic acid content, nitrate reductase activity, chlorophyll content and yield of maize. The experiment was laid out in factorial RBD consisting a combination of four levels (100%, 75%, 50% and 25% N) through poultry manure (PM), vermicompost (VC), farm yard manure (FYM) and sulfitation press mud (SPM). Conjunctive use of organic manures and inorganic fertilizers significantly influenced the ascorbic acid content, nitrate reductase activity (NRA), total chlorophyll content and yield of maize. Application of 50% of N through PM and 50% N through inorganic source was superior combination in increasing yield and above mentioned physiological parameters.
