Abstract

Efficacy of five insecticides against caseworm, Nymphula depunctalisStagnalis was evaluated in farmer's field during kharif 2009 and 2010. Spinosad 45 SC @125ml/ha was found most effective among the other formulations. Spinosad, which is a broad-spectrum organic biopesticide, gave the best cost: benefit ratio among the insecticides used, followed by quinalphos @l000ml/ha. Hence, Spinosad 45 SC @125ml/ha has been recommended for the control of caseworm.
