In this paper an attempt has been made to estimate the effects of cropped area and year on production of chilli, ginger and turmeric spice crops in the north-east region of India. The secondary data for the period of 1985–86 to 2012–13 were compiled, to evaluate the impact of all crops; three regression equations for each of the crops have been fitted by the method of least squares. To examine the significance of the estimated regression equations, analysis of variance is carried out for each of the crops viz; Chilli, Ginger and Turmeric separately.
