Squared Jacobian elliptic function solutions for the (2+1)-D Korteweg de-Vries equation

Abstract

The mapping and modified mapping methods, with new mapping relation, have been developed to derive some new exact doubly periodic solutions of the (2 + 1) - D Kortewegde Vries equation in terms of squares of Jacobian elliptic functions which are new in literature. The corresponding limit solutions in the case of the modulus of the elliptic function approaching 0 and 1 have also been deduced.
