Abstract

Many multicast routing algorithms based on genetic approach have been proposed to optimize the Qos constraints, yet link stability haven't considered in the establishment of a path. The mobility of the nodes breaks those paths that is established and affects the communication executing a load, overhead and increased rate of link failure. The dynamic nature of the network topology and the restricted resources in mobile ad hoc network (MANET) makes difficult to achieve mobility. Also the protocols relying on the location information from GPS may fail to operate correctly in the tunnels and undergrounds. Hence self–content information should be available to perform the task of routing. The Heading Direction Angle (HDA) of the nodes is such self-content information, which considers the direction and motion of the nodes to establish the path. Multi-objective genetic algorithm is applied to perform the QoS constrained mobility based routing to extend the route longevity. The protocol G-MAODV is implemented on Multicast Ad hoc On Demand Distance Vector Routing Protocol (MAODV) to optimize the qos constraints delay, cost, bandwidth and jitter. Simulation results show that the performance of MAODV has been enhanced and also the qos issues have been satisfied in addition to the establishment of long-lived route.
