Relationship between academic achievement and the attitude towards physical education and sports

The main objective of the study was to know the relationship between academic achievement and the attitudes of students toward physical education and sports. With the help of the stratified random sampling method, 700 students were selected. 10 students each from 70 higher secondary schools were selected for data collection. Academic achievement and Likert’s Attitude scale were used for the collection of data. S.D., Correlation and ‘t’ test were used for data analysis. The analysis of the data indicates that the academic achievement of students has an insignificant (Negative) relationship with their attitudes toward physical education and sports.
