This study aimed to point out numerous factors that lead to successful educational partnerships between parents and their wards. The method for this exploration centred on asking parents how and why parents were involved in their children’s education and what factors influenced their participation. In order to conduct the study data were collected from 20 parents residing in Delhi/ NCR. Short semi-structured interviews with open-ended questions were used to collect data. Six global themes emerged from the parents’ own descriptions of their participation in their children’s education. The findings from this study strongly support prior research showing that the majority of parents want their children to do well in school and have a strong intent to hand hold their children to succeed. The most significant findings from the study indicate that, although parental education and socioeconomic status provided better learning opportunities to their wards, however, high socioeconomic status and educational background never come in the way of strong-willed parents committed to raising successful children.
