Abstract

The objective of the present study is to compare locus of control and hopelessness between orthopacdically challenged and normal youths. Socio-demographic and clinical data were collected through a specially designed proforma and locally adapted Beck's Hopelessness Scale and Rotter's Internal-External Locus of Control Scale which were administered to 40 subjects. Results show that orthopaedically challenged youths suffer from a greater sense of hopelessness and they posses external locus of control than their normal counterparts.
